Alternative Divorce Methods

Many people do not want to subject their children or themselves to the costs, monetary and emotional, and the time that can be required to complete a litigated divorce. Many clients prefer to try to work out their differences in an amicable, private, and expedited manner.

Collaborative Divorce

This process is geared to help the parties conclude a successful agreement, at normally less cost and less emotional upset. All of the professionals who may be involved in the process have collaborative law training. To ensure that everyone involved in the process is committed to an amicable and expedited resolution without litigation, the parties and. their attorney.; agree that if the matter results in litigation, none of the professionals will take part in such litigation. The process of appraising assets and dealing with the parties income is conducted in a private setting.

Another alternative to litigation is for the panics to engage in a mediation process. The Mediator attempt to help the parties arrive at a fair agreement, without litigation.
